From field to intelligence

Geophysics at the core. Digital capability built around the data.

The story begins in the field and continues all the way to the enterprise systems that depend on what the field records.

  1. 01

    Plan & Survey

Geometry and survey control fixed before mobilization.

  2. 02

    Acquire

2D and 3D recording with QA/QC embedded in the field.

  3. 03

    Process & Interpret

Field records become images, then geological understanding.

  4. 04

    Preserve & Digitize

Legacy media rebuilt as structured digital archives.

  5. 05

    Enterprise Intelligence

Technical data connected to the systems that use it.

Cross-section of a Libyan seismic survey: vehicles on the desert surface above layered geology that resolves into a processed seismic section.

Signature geoscience experience

The survey begins at the surface.

Acquisition geometry, field crews and seismic sources establish the physical foundation for subsurface imaging.

A strategic 3D seismic survey program for Waha Oil Company, executed with continuous technical and logistical coordination in the field.

Concession notation follows NAGECO's own published variants (NC-12 / NC-13 and M.N 12–13) and will be set to the contract wording before publication.

Operations

Built for the field.

A seismic program is a logistics problem before it is a data problem. Crews, fleet, fuel and medical cover have to hold together in remote desert concessions for the recording to be worth anything.

A technical data room: legacy magnetic tape reels and archive boxes on one side, seismic processing workstations and displays on the other.

Energy data transformation

From legacy media to digital intelligence.

NAGECO has played a central role in preserving Libya's legacy geophysical information — rebuilding magnetic-tape and paper records as structured digital archives.

  1. 01RecoverOriginal media retrieved and assessed.
  2. 02ValidateSignal verified against the documentation.
  3. 03DigitizeTranscribed under controlled quality checks.
  4. 04IndexMetadata applied so datasets can be found.
  5. 05PreserveStructured archives, backed up.
  6. 06ActivateMade usable in live technical workflows.

Digital & Technology

Field operations connected to enterprise intelligence.

Seismic data is one of the most demanding workloads in the energy sector. NAGECO builds the environments it is processed in — and the systems that put it to work.

01 — Infrastructure

Built to process what lies beneath.

Compute & storage
Sized for seismic workloads, not office IT.
Processing environments
Field data moved through to interpretable images.
Technical data management
Indexed, access-controlled, retained.

In development

High-Performance Seismic Data Processing Center

NAGECO's 2026 development plans include establishing a high-performance Seismic Data Processing Center to strengthen national processing capability.

Health, safety & environment

Every operation starts with safety.

An operating condition of field work, not a reporting exercise. Controls are applied daily, at crew level, where the risk actually sits.

Field personnel in high-visibility clothing and hard hats working alongside seismic recording vehicles.
  1. 01

    Daily field briefings

Toolbox talks, permit-to-work and PPE checks before the day begins.

  2. 02

    Vehicle tracking

Journey management and driver monitoring across remote movements.

  3. 03

    Field medical readiness

Clinic capability, medical personnel and ambulance support with the crew.

  4. 04

    Environmental protection

Desert precautions, including archaeological features inside survey areas.

Safety performance indicators are intentionally omitted until NAGECO HSE confirms the reporting standard, period and scope for each figure.
